We understand the importance of nurturing healthy vision from a young age. We recommend that children have a routine eye exam starting at 6 months of age. Our children’s eye exams are designed to help promote your child’s vision health and to detect potential issues early on. With a combination of knowledge, modern technology, and a child-friendly approach, we provide a full and reassuring experience for both parent and child.

Children from birth to the age of 18 are covered for basic eye exams and disease Eye Care. In addition, the Eye See… Eye Learn program encourages kids to have eye exams in kindergarten and provides free glasses, if needed, to kindergarten kids.

Our experienced optometrists have training in pediatric eye care. We assess visual acuity (sharpness and clarity of vision), eye coordination,eye tracking, development. and overall eye health. This includes checking for common childhood conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

When you bring your child to Vision For Life Eyecare for a children’s eye exam, you can expect a thorough and child-focused process.

We create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere to help your child feel at ease during their eye exam. Our friendly staff is experienced in working with children, making the visit both enjoyable and informative for the whole family.

Our experienced optometrists have training in pediatric eye care. We assess visual acuity (sharpness and clarity of vision), eye coordination, eye tracking, development, and overall eye health. This includes checking for common childhood conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

We employ gentle and noninvasive diagnostic tools, such as retinoscopy and pediatric charts, tailored to children’s needs. These tools help us determine your child’s prescription and identify potential vision issues.

Detecting eye issues early is crucial for children. We pay special attention to conditions like amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (eye misalignment), and focusing problems. Early intervention can improve treatment outcomes.

We understand the increasing prevalence of myopia (nearsightedness) in children. Our children’s eye exams provide an opportunity to discuss myopia control options to help slow its progression.
