We are equipped with modern diagnostic tools and equipment to thoroughly assess your eye’s condition and provide appropriate treatment. What to Do in Case of an Eye Emergency
We do provide after hours emergency care. When you call any of our locations, our after hours contact information is provided. If you are not able to contact one our our doctors, then you may need to see emergency care from another provider or the emergency rooms in the red deer, edmonton or Calgary hospitals.
Avoid rubbing your eyes. Rinse your eyes gently with clean water. If the object doesn’t come out, seek professional help.
Avoid touching or rubbing your eyes. If experiencing redness, irritation, or discharge, avoid using over-the-counter drops and consult an eye care professional.
Protect your eye from further injury. Use a clean cloth or shield to cover your eye and seek immediate professional assistance.
Seek immediate attention if you experience sudden and significant vision changes.
Flush your eyes with clean water for at least 15 minutes and seek immediate medical attention.

We offer emergency eye care for various eye emergencies. If you’re experiencing an eye care emergency, please call us or visit your nearest emergency room.
Getting a foreign object, such as dust, debris, or a particle, lodged in your eye can be uncomfortable and potentially damaging. Our team can assess the affected eye and recommend next steps.
Eye infections and inflamations can cause redness, irritation, discharge, and discomfort. Our optometrists can prescribe treatment to help alleviate your symptoms.
Accidents can result in eye trauma or injury, ranging from scratches to blunt trauma. Even seemingly minor injuries should be evaluated by our professionals to check for underlying damage.
Experiencing suddend changes in vision such as blurriness, loss of vision, the sudden appearance of floaters or flashing lights, could be indicative of serious conditions like retinal detachment or acute glaucoma. Immediate evaluation from a medical professional is essential.
If your eyes come into contact with harmful chemicals, it’s crucial to flush them immediately with clean water and seek professional assistance promptly. Our optometrists can help flush the substance from your eyes.
